Accessibility statement

Last updated

We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control or magnification. This page explains how the site does that, where it still falls short, and how to reach us.

In short

  • The site is built to Israeli Standard IS 5568 and tested against WCAG 2.2 at level AA.
  • It works with a keyboard alone, with screen readers, in light and dark mode, and with reduced motion.
  • The settings button at the bottom left lets you enlarge text, raise contrast, highlight links and stop motion.
  • If something gets in your way, our accessibility coordinator will help.

The standard we follow

Fortress Cyber builds this site to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) at level AA, as the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013 require. We build and test against the newer WCAG 2.2, also at level AA.

What we have done

  • Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a clear focus outline, and a “Skip to content” link comes first on every page.
  • Pages are built with real headings, landmarks and lists, so screen readers can move around them.
  • Images that carry information have a text description. Decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and controls meet AA contrast in both light and dark mode. The site follows your device's colour setting.
  • You can enlarge text to 200%, and the layout fits screens as narrow as 320 pixels without scrolling sideways.
  • When your device asks for reduced motion, the animations stop. Nothing moves on its own for more than five seconds.
  • The contact form has visible labels, marks the optional fields, explains each error in words next to the field, and has no time limit. Its spam check needs no puzzle; if it ever asks you to tick a box, you can do that with a keyboard.
  • The page language is set, so screen readers use the right voice.
  • The accessibility settings button, at the bottom left of every page, lets you enlarge text, raise the contrast, underline and highlight links, stop all motion, space out letters and lines, and strengthen the focus outline. It is our own, loads no outside code, and remembers your choice on your device only. The site is built to work fully without it.

Known limits

  • The product pictures on the home page are screenshots with demo data. Each has a text description, but the small text inside the screenshots is not available as text.
  • The stack of glass plates at the top of the home page is an illustration. The five steps it shows are also written out as text beside it.
  • The site is in English only.
  • We tested with automated checks (axe-core), a keyboard-only pass, and the names and roles that screen readers announce, in Chrome and in Safari's engine. We have not yet tested every combination of screen reader and browser.

If you find a problem that is not listed here, please tell us.
